Dr. Paul Edgerley is a prosthodontist who currently practices here in his hometown of St. Louis. A prosthodontist is a dental specialist who has completed dental school plus at least three years of advanced specialty training in a prosthodontics residency. Prosthodontists specialize in the restoration and replacement of damaged or missing teeth and oral structures, returning them to optimal esthetics and function.
After graduating with his DDS degree from UMKC School of Dentistry, Dr. Edgerley continued his education at a General Practice Residency with a focus on trauma, hospital, surgical, and operating room dentistry at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL. Here he developed a love for complex dentistry and decided to pursue training as a specialist.
He earned his MDS degree and specialty certification as a prosthodontist at the University of Tennessee after completing a three-year residency with a focus on implants, cosmetic full mouth rehabilitation, management of jaw disorders, and removable denture prosthodontics.
Dr. Edgerley served as Chief Resident and taught part-time at the University of Tennessee dental school, supervising removable denture and crown procedures. He is also currently an adjunct faculty of prosthodontics at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, and lectures on removable implant over-dentures, TMD diagnosis/management, and esthetic driven treatment planning for cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.
